  • 2x 512 sticks of SUPPOSED Kingston Hyper-X BH-5

HKPolice was the Seller on September 29, 2004 Other/Unknown

The seller sold me 2 sticks of RAM which he claimed were Kingston Hyper-X PC3000 with rebranded BH-5 chips. The RAM I recieved didn't have heat spreaders, so I have no way of proving that they are Hyper-X. By selling me sticks without Heatspreaders he voided their warranty. He did NOT inform me that they had no Heatspreaders.

He claimed that they would run tight 2-2-2 timings at 222MHz with 2.85v and said he was sure they would hit 250+MHz with higher voltage. I cannot even run a single stick at 200 MHz with tight 2-2-2 timings with 3.3v.

Worst of all, when I displayed ANY displeasure with what I had purchased, he told me that it was my tough luck, and it must be my fault. I understand that he has lots of good feedback, but he DOES NOT stand behind his promises or merchandise. He is ignoring my emails, and I haven't heard from him in almost 2 weeks as of this posting.

    BEWARE!!!!!

    Response from HKPolice
    1) Kingston warranty is only valid for the original owner, so any coverage would of been voided anyways since I was not the original owner.

    2) I WAS able to run 222Mhz @ 2-2-2-5 timings on my IC7-G, I could prove it if he ships them back, I'll even pay for the shipping. They are relabled DW-45 week ~4 chips which are guarenteed BH5 link: http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/AMD/memory/95

    3) This newbie obviously has problems with his DFI board, and he didn't even TRY to test in another board. I did NOT tell him "tough luck" I was giving him tips on how to run it PROPERLY. Overclocking is trial and error, there are NO guarentees. He obviously does not understand this.

    4) DO NOT Sell this person ANY overclocking enthusiast items because he will blame you for everything if anything goes wrong.

  • PS2 system

HKPolice was the Seller on October 7, 2004 RedFlagDeals

I bought a PS2 system last night from this guy guarenteed not DOA but failed to mention that it has a hard time reading original ps2 games. Also console has been opened and missing warranty sticker. Even tho the warranty no longer valid, sony will NOT help me without it because it appears to have been opened. and the box is not modded so i have no idea why its missing and he says he doesn't know why either

i asked for a refund and he refused threatening to report me to the athorities because "i want to play ilegal games on it" which was never said. Judging by how hes avoiding when i ask for a refund he knew about this problem from the start and hoped to get away with it. Unlucky for him i have his address and will show up with the police

    ****CAUTION****
Be sure you know what your purchasing and if possible ask to test before paying.

Was friendly when taking my money now that i found a problem he is being very ignorant. I plan to go lengths and beyond to ensure i get my money back

    Response from HKPolice
Buyer was too hasty and exchanged the PS2 for an Xbox, then left me this unjustified negative feedback AFTER I agreed to a refund. It is in the process of being removed.

  • 1 x OCZ PC4000EB 2GB Kit

HKPolice was the Seller on April 13, 2006 RedFlagDeals

Item arrived as described, in working condition.

I needed it by the end of the week and I specified that to the seller. He acknowledged the need to ship it by a fast method.

Instead of shipping it XpressPost (2-3 days typically), he shipped it expedited (over a week typically). It came half a week after my deadline. I was building a system for a friend who lives 500 km\\\'s away and I needed to have the system ready before he left. Needless to say, the RAM not being there was a problem.

When I saw that the tracking number was expedited, rather an Xpress, I PMed him and asked what was up. He denied any fault of his and said that he shipped it quote: \\\"the fastest available method other than overnight courier\\\". When I said that he could have shipped it XpressPost, he told me to quote: \\\"stop bitching\\\" and went on to say that I asked too many questions before the sale. He also stated quote: \\\"other would just ignore you\\\". I think this is idiotic. This is not how I do business and NO other traders will not and DO NOT ignore me or anybody else if they intend to sell their stuff.

His slower than agreed upon shipping, unwillingness to accept responsibility for his mistake and rude and ignorant behaviour towards me contributed to a very unpleasant transaction which caused me to lose both time and money.

    Response from HKPolice
I have always shipped expedited and it has always gotten accross Canada within 5 business days.

This time, it took longer which was no fault of mine, just coincidental delays with the postal system.

I only charged him $5 for shipping, but actual costs to me was $10 + packaging material. I did not ask for any compensation afterwards.

If he wanted a guarenteed delivery time, he should of paid for overnight or next day, those are the ONLY guarenteed methods.

I should not be held responsible for postage system delays after I shipped the package on time. It\'s like blaming the seller for not receiving the package during a postal labour strike.

Will not deal with him ever again, and I suggest future traders to take caution if he wants an item urgently.
