the drive works great! good thing I did some searching and found that nVidia's IDE driver doesn't like Asus dvd-roms. uninstalled IDE driver and the dvd-rom works awesome. This is one of the best and honest traders around. He refunded me some $$ 'cause he didn't have the s/w that he stated in his auction AND he sent me some blank slim dvd cases!! this guy is awesome! A+ deal from an A+ trader!
