put it in straight away and stressed my laptop with furmark for a laugh to see if it would die (I even put money on it that it would die) but no it didnt!! :D extremely happy with this purchase. overheating while gaming with this laptop has always been an issue but not anymore!!

he asked me if i was willing to sell and I made it quite clear many times that the unit was faulty and that i wasnt responsible for any hardware the PSU chooses to eat when plugged in.

Unfortunately I had no idea that PSU was still under warranty as I already had it for about 2-3years and for the better part of a year its been sitting in the shed as it ate a Xonar D2X and a 4870.

and unlucky for me -- it was still under warranty. and Scaminatrix got a brand new replacement unit. I know i sold if off far too cheap!!!! damn you!!! :p
